Meet the Artist

Hi, I'm
Margot.

Artist and founder making art that demands to be felt.

I'm a mixed-media artist and founder of The Art Collective, rooted right here in the creative heart of East Nashville. My work blends texture, color, and story — no two pieces are ever the same.

I started The Art Collective in 2025 because I believed Nashville's art scene deserved a dedicated home — a place where original work could be seen, sold, and celebrated without the gatekeeping of traditional galleries.

When I'm not in the studio, you'll find me exploring East Nashville with my husband and rescue pitty Athena. I have a love of traveling for new inspiration, or hunting the best hole-in-the-wall restaurants our city has to offer. My art keeps me moving and allows for me to meet other incredibly talented people.

Quote by Margot Mitchell about art and intention on a beige background.
A woman with short dark hair and earrings sitting at an outdoor restaurant, holding a glass with a pink cocktail and strawberry slice, smiling at the camera, with a blurred background of other diners and a colorful awning.
